Trees of Hope - Mbira music!

Bovey Paradiso Arts is delighted to invite you to a mbira music performance by Nick Clough from the Trees of Hope Charity at 2pm on 8th June. 

Mbira are a family of musical instruments, traditional to the Shona people of Zimbabwe. They consist of a wooden board with attached staggered metal tines, played by holding the instrument in the hands and plucking the tines with the thumbs, the right forefinger and sometimes the left forefinger. 

Do come along to whilst visiting the Craft Fair for this unique opportunity to hear the music and learn more about the charity and its work to addess the problem of deforestation and promotion of eco learning in the UK and Zimbawe.
