The Electrical Life of Louis Wain
Paradiso Cinema Club is delighted to present the true story of eccentric British artist Louis Wain (Benedict Cumberbatch), whose playful, psychedelic pictures transformed the public's perception of cats forever. Set in the early 1900s, we follow Wain as he seeks to unlock the "electrical" mysteries of the world and, in so doing, to better understand his own life and the profound love he shared with his wife Emily Richardson (Claire Foy).
Director: Will Sharpe
Writers: Simon Stephenson, Will Sharpe
Stars: Benedict Cumberbatch, Claire Foy, Andrea Riseborough

Please note - based on the feedback we have received from our recent survey we will not be showing subtitles at this screening.
There is limited on street parking at the venue and we recommend that you park at the Riverside car park - a short 5-10 minute walk. Wickham Hall is a wonderful venue for our Cinema Club nights but is not the purpose built cinema that we will have at Paradiso - you may wish to bring a cushion with you on the night to improve the seat comfort!
