Paradiso Cinema Club - Rear Window

Paradiso Cinema Club is delighted to present for our next film the restored Hitchcock classic - Rear Window (1954)

A newspaper photographer with a broken leg passes time recuperating by observing his neighbours through his window. He sees what he believes to be a murder, and decides to solve the crime himself. With the help of his nurse and wife, he tries to catch the murderer without being killed himself.

Hitchcock made a career out of indulging our voyeuristic tendencies, and he never excited them more skilfully, or with more gleeful self-awareness, than in Rear Window.

Please note tickets are non-refundable. There are only a limited number of tickets available and are released on a first -come first served basis with Paradiso Cinema Club members having early access.

We want to make our Cinema Club nights as inclusive as possible and we will be showing the film with subtitles for our guests that have reduced hearing. Please do let us know if you would like us to reserve seating that will give you the best view of the subtitles that will be at the base of the screen, below the film.

Doors at Wickham Hall will open at 18.45 with the film starting at 19.30.  Drinks (licensed bar) and light snacks will be available to purchase. There will be an intermission for refreshments and leg stretching.

Please note there is limited on street parking at the venue and we recommend that you park at the Riverside car park - a short 5-10 minute walk. Wickham Hall is a wonderful venue for our Cinema Club nights but is not the purpose built cinema that we will have at Paradiso  - you may wish to bring a cushion with you on the night to improve the seat comfort!
